These GED RLA microlessons are designed to increase student interest and retention to better prepare GED learners for the GED RLA test.

•Summarizing a Passage

Microlessons are an effective way for GED students to study efficiently by breaking complex topics into small, focused lessons that are easier to understand and retain.

How to use:

Each of the seven lessons is broken into 6 parts:

1 )Concept Review (3-4 Minutes)

2) Practice (6-7 minutes)

3) Review of answer (2-3 minutes)

4) Recap and Take away (2 minutes)

5) Quick Quiz (2 minutes)

6) Extra Practice (Varies)

Steps 1 -4 are the foundation of the lessons and should not be separated.

Step 5 can either be taught the same day or used as a review later.

Step 6 is a reinforcement of Steps 1-5, so you will most likely want to assign this step on a different day.

Note: Ideally, steps 1-4 will be taught as a class. However, so that these lessons can be used as independent practice if needed, I have made sure to put the answer to questions on the page that follows vs. on the same page.
